Zitz Sum is a 30 seat seasonal restaurant located inside of an historic building in Coral Gables, Florida. Our story, is a story of resilience, passion & commitment, that is translated in a plate of food, excellent service and unapologetic gracious hospitality. Our current menu is an autobiographical journey reflecting Chef’s experiences and our affinity for Japanese ingredients and technique.

We currently offer A la carte menu that changes with the seasons, and a Seven Course Tasting Menu that changes weekly. Our tasting menu consists of playful snacks and bites to get the night going, and an array of our signature and favorite current dishes. Part of the tasting menu is presented in a family style format conducive for sharing and celebrating.

Zitz Sum is recipient of a 2022, 2023 & 2024 Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand Award, a 2022 James Beard Foundation Semifinalist for Best New Restaurant and a New York Times 2022 Best 50 Restaurants in America.

    We had a very nice dinner. Our dumplings, snapper, Carolina Gold rice, and cabbage were excellent and a nice size to share between two people. The wait staff described food and drinks perfectly and were friendly and attentive (but not too attentive). The drink list is not large, but our suggested wines paired very nicely with our plates.

    It’s so hard to find a restaurant that is worth going again, but this restaurant I have nothing but good things to say, from the ambience being very friendly , and calm , to the presentation and flavors of the food were amazing, and the customer service TOP NOTCH , I can’t wait to go back again.

    Food was delicious. Highly recommend the bread and whatever version of dumpling in brodo that they currently offer. Flavor is always incredible.

    One of the best “fusion cuisine” meals I have experienced. A really focused and dedicated culinary approach to blending ingredients which work perfectly and create something new and exceptional.

    First time here and we both loved it ! Thank you so much ! Every thing was great! We got 3 apps and 2 main dishes ! Service was outstanding thank you very friendly staff ! , only wish we lived closer we would go more often !!! We will be back soon tho see ya soon !
