For an expensive restaurant in the Four Seasons hotel, the experience was underwhelming.
The service was poor starting with the greeting - the hostess was more interested in talking to the bartender. After being seated, our waitress came by and took our drink order after about 10 minutes. We ordered the omakase, and after our second round came we still did not have our drinks. When we asked the sommelier, she asked what we ordered, and apparently there was no trace that any order was ever placed with the bar. We had to ask to get our water filled. All of this is on the head of management- there were plenty of servers, but they mostly were hanging around and talking to each other.
For the food: don’t order the omakase! For one, the only fish dish that came out was a small tuna roll and a pair of nigiri that tasted a little fishy. The tempura was excellent, but other dishes were way too big, such as the beef and broccolini. The dessert was huge. So if you like food, order a la carte and at least get what you like.
So for a 500$ price tag I am completely unimpressed!
