   I'm a regular here at Rainbow Lodge and as always, a great experience. This is one of my stapled restaurants for bringing new people to. It is a place that you can depend on for great food and service. We always leave with a great experience and wanting to come back to try other dishes.

   Highly recommend for a unique meal. Our server Jordan was attentive, informative and just great. Awesome back patio, great meal and the two-man music combo made for great atmosphere. Would definitely do it again.

   Food was okay, nothing outstanding. Service was good. Our table was next to one with four people who were annoying; talked loud and used a bunch of curse words. They could have seated us at a different table away form them. The table was adjacent from the fire place and the primary walking path. The employees had to duck under the fire place mantel every time they entered. Under the mantel was a slight raise in the floor. I was a little concerned that this setup was a hazard for the employees and it actually distracted from the experience. It made me feel like we needed to move the table more against the wall, which we did, to give them more room. The table was also not leveled so it would totter based on the pressure we put on the top. The food was okay but nothing I couldn't do with my grill and a little salt. The ambiance was above average. I liked the cabin feel. The only thing we didn't like was a zebra head skin that was stretched on a metal screen like material. It was creepy. We really liked the water-color paintings. Very nice. The employees were amazing. Great people, very friendly and professional. They did not come off as being "fake" but very approachable and personable. We were even running late and they held our table. The interaction with the employees was worth the trip in itself. They make you feel like a friend instead of a person picking up some food. Parking was great for us but I feel like we were lucky. We parked directly across from the restaurant on the street. But there were only like four spots, so for the most part I think it might be a little annoying if we didn't luck out. Price was a little high for everyday dinning. But for the once and awhile experience, it was a little on the low side. Even with a 20% tip it was a well below what I expected. If I was local, or visiting Houston, I would go back and try out some other dishes. But seriously, the zebra thing is creepy.

   The daily special was excellent. Service was impeccable. Inside ambience was very nice. Outside view could use some work.

   Excellent food, ambience, and service. We sat outside and it is a beautiful setting. Great for a special night out.

   The food is excellent. Sunday Supper, which this week was Chicken Fried Chicken, was yummy. Everyone in our book club had it and enjoyed it so much. Our service was, as always, the best. And pre-book club therapy (the bar) was just what I needed.
