Opening in 1939, The Regency Room has remained at the heart of the Roanoke social and cultural experience. The restaurant, under the direction of Executive Chef Michael Whittaker, features French-inspired Southern cuisine and is open year-round, including holidays.     We loved the music and band. Service was very good and professional of a top restaurant. We had the filet and osso bucco. Both were a disappointment. The steak had a burnt crust that was covered with the sauce. The osso had very little flavor. The cocktails and desserts were delicious. I think the price on the menu was less than what we were charged for the wine. Overall the ambience out weighed the food.
