It’s winter in Providence and we’re keeping cozy on the Rooftop at the Providence G. With its perch seven stories up in the center of downtown, enjoy enclosed, heated dining, or the open air fireside experience and live music at our restaurant & lounge.

Featuring an insulated glass rooftop, fire pits and private lounges, it is possible to enjoy city skylines and starry nights throughout the year.

Private Firepit Experience

Private Firepit Dining (8-12 people) Enjoy your own private firepit on the Rooftop Friday and Saturday late nights. Private fire pits can be reserved for 6-15 people by meeting a $55 per person food and beverage minimum (up to 8 guests). For groups between 9-15 guests a $500 food and beverage minimum spend will need to be met. Guests must be over 21 years of age nightly after 9pm. In the event of inclement weather, if you have booked an outdoor table, we recommend you rebook your reservation to another date. Due to a limited number of indoor seats, we may not be able to accommodate your outside reservation.

Treat yourself, or your guest of honor to a Birthday Experience on the Rooftop! Celebrating an upcoming birthday for yourself, family member or friend? Enjoy the Rooftop’s Birthday Experience, a new celebratory add-on package to your existing reservation for dinner and/or drinks. Make a birthday celebration extra special with dessert (guests can choose off the dessert menu), a show-stopping sparkler candle and sparkling wine toast. Our full menu is available for ordering in addition to this add-on.
Fire Pit Seating

General fire pit seating can be reserved for 2-4 people by meeting a $55 per person food and beverage minimum on Fridays & Saturdays until the kitchen closes at 11pm. All firepit seating is limited to 2 hours per reservation. Guests must be over 21 years of age nightly after 9pm. Minimums for shared firepits are waived Sunday through Thursday, still with the exception of (guaranteed) Private Firepit experiences, in which the minimum spend still applies. In the event of inclement weather, if you have booked an outdoor table, we recommend you rebook your reservation to another date. Due to a limited number of indoor seats, we may not be able to accommodate your outside reservation.

Unfortunately, restaurant was out of the first 3 things we wanted to order. Also, we checked the website menu before we came in and when we actually got to the restaurant, the menu was different. what we did end up getting was fine in the waiter was very good.

It started hopeful, celebrating a birthday- the drinks were amazing as was the appetizer - brussels sprouts. Then…Service seemed to slow. Inquired about meal 30 minutes after placing entree orders, received meal over 50 minutes after ordering. Told server, Emma, would need check with meal. Manager arrived as meals were delivered-said he would stop back and never did. Server didn’t come to check on food after delivery- did try to placate with comp champagne but 2 of us are allergic. Comped Brussels sprouts, but honestly $14 on a $200 bill? Burger undercooked, fries good; tuna salty, not enough blood orange reduction to offset. Salmon on spicy side but the rush to make 8:00 show blurs memory of what we ate.

While we're glad the drinks and Brussels sprouts were a hit, but we deeply apologize for the slow service, the undercooked burger, and the salty tuna. It’s clear we missed the mark on both food and service, and that’s not the experience we want to provide. I also regret the issue with the champagne and the lack of follow-up. Jillian was the best. The cauliflower appetizer was amazing. Service and good were both fantastic!

Overall our experience was a little all over the place. Took a little bit to get drinks while it wasn’t that busy. My martinis were on the smaller side - about 3/4 of the glass full and it wasn’t a bigger glass. Ordered a burger medium and it was still mooing. Usually not one to complain but raw beef just makes my stomach turn. They rectified it with the tuna which was good but left the burger on the bill so had to ask about that. My boyfriend had the beef cheeks which was really good just on the smaller side portion wise. They also double charged my boyfriends card and when confronted they gave some weird excuse but he had to call his bank the following morning to remove on of the charges. Calamari and flourless cake were both excellent though.

Creative drinks, appetizers and amazing entrees. The service was second to none. It was a snowy day so the patio was closed, although the fire pits were still on for ambience. The vibe was lively. We will definitely be back

Fantastic view. Great food. Excellent service. We ate dinner while it snowed outside. The indoor seating still feels like outside due to the greenhouse around the rooftop.

Great service and the food was excellent but it was a bit pricy for what we got. Other places were only charging 35 pp for a comparable meal, 15 Point Road in Portsmouth

Food was horrible, overcooked, flavorless. Even the drinks were bad. The dessert overwhelmingly tasted of just sugar. Each course was rushed to our table and plates were cleared while we were still chewing. A three course meal took one hour. And on top of all that it was nearly $300.
