   The steak was tasty, although initially undercooked and the bread was good and warm. The salad and the sprouts and the service were mediocre at best. Absolutely not worth the price.

   We had a 20 minute wait to be seated and it wasn't crowded, so not sure why it took that long. We had 7 in our party. We ordered a soup before dinner that never arrived until we asked about it and got it after dinner was served. Maybe they are short handed? But as always the food was fantastic, especially the filet!!

   The wait WITH a reservation was over 30 minutes. The server was terrific. They ran out of Brussels sprouts, garlic potatoes, cheesecake, and didn’t have the wine in yet that was a new feature on the menu…. Curious how a restaurant of this caliber can run out of staple foods…

    Fat Tuesday was an off day for Ruth Chris. I am from Chicago and travel to NOLA every year to spend Mardi Gras with friends and family. Our dinner is always at Ruth Chris before we travel home on Wednesday. Unfortunately, our steaks (5) were all ordered medium well and they were cooked well, completely dry with burnt ends. A total disappointment. Also, the kitchen was out of the excellent garlic mashed potatoes; therefore we ordered baked potatoes which were good but not our garlic mashed potatoes.
