Ever since Tops Diner was established in 1942, our focus has always been to serve what our customers want, exactly when and how they want it. As the American dining culture shifts, we recognize we must strive to recreate the 1920’s renaissance that birthed the diner as we know it today, all the while preserving the historical and cultural identity that made Tops Diner the model all others hope to emulate.
By constantly evolving, we ensure our ability to provide a diverse menu of high quality options with the speed of service we’ve all become accustomed to, providing the uniquely satisfying experience synonymous with the Tops Diner name. Our hope is that we can grow as our clients do, and continue to serve both our Newark family, and our community at large.
Wanda Pollyana Boos/Lipot was my Mother and my inspiration to become a Chef. Wanda was an amazing cook who actually had some serious training in her country of Trinidad and Tobago. In fact, one of my most prized mementos is my mother's... her cooking manual from Naparima Girls High School in Trinidad.
What started as my mother's inspiration many years ago has turned into a career that I love and am very proud of. So here I am, my mother's son, who has spent 38 years in the kitchen, perfecting my craft. I now want to share what I've learned with all of you in a place I can call my own.
With the help of my wonderfully supportive wife, Gilda and my wonderful family behind me, I look forward to what's to come.

Meet Me At Madison's is a European designate upscale Bistro serving Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Sunday Brunch. Our Award winning, Chef Saverio Stassi, has created a fusion menu inspired by his many trips around the world. This enabled him to create an array of flavor combinations and a menu for everyone. Popular dishes include Latin inspired linguine, Spicy Chilean Sea and his Basque Cheesecake with chocolate tahini sauce- a crowd favorite! Take out and a full coffee/espresso menu are available.
The Madison Bar and Grill is filled with an ambiance and class that is usually reserved for Manhattan eateries. The dining room is cleverly decorated in a 1940s style reminiscent of a chic roadside inn. The décor works an evocative, magical mood, with bare wood floors, wainscoted walls, soft lighting and subtle touches from a bygone era.
Patrons can also enjoy The Madison’s eclectic American Cuisine at the bar or outdoors in an al fresco cafe that wraps around the street corner.
Be sure not to miss The Madison’s Weekly Events, including the Sunday Jazz Brunch, First Seating, Tuesday Night Martini Madness, Thursday Taco Night and Endless Happy Hour. The restaurant also offers Private Parties and Off-Premises Catering.

We are proud to announce that since our opening at the end of August 2008 , Boulevard Five72 has gained a reputation as one of the finest restaurants and caterers in our area. The Star Ledger named us runner up for the "Best New Restaurant in New Jersey for 2008" and the New Jersey Monthly just listed us as one of the top 22 Restaurants that you must try!
