Located in the heart of the old railroad and mining town of Minturn, the Saloon’s building dates back to 1901. During the last one hundred years it has been, at one time or another, home to various taverns, restaurants and even back room gambling for railroaders. While the last five decades have seen the development of Vail and Beaver Creek resorts just seven miles on either side of Minturn, the town’s appearance and feel retains its historic Colorado roots. Recently under new ownership, The Saloon has undergone a complete renovation and reopened in November of '23 with a fresh new menu and updated space. Chef Anthony Mazza's menu features slow-cooked short rib and pork cheek and Colorado River Ranch wagyu steak. The nostalgia and historical memorabilia and photos remain. The space still feels like The Saloon, but carried into the present day. Enjoy a resurrected Colorado Saloon and feel the history all around you.

Please note the time you have been allotted for you and your party to complete your meal! Please don't be late, leave early if it is snowing! Call us with any questions/changes. There’s a reason we’re perched down by the river. In fact, the view right outside is a nice little reminder that life is better when you go with the flow. The only thing that might make it better are some ice cold drinks, Texas-style smoky ‘cue and the company of your favorite fellow humans. So come in, take a seat, order up somethin’ good, crack open a cold one and let the good times flow like the Yampa.

Mazzola's opened in 1970 and has long been a Steamboat tradition. We offer a from-scratch kitchen, only the highest quality all-natural ingredients, an extensive wine list & full bar. With an emphasis on tacos, traditional cooking techniques and regional ingredients are used to create progressive Mexican dishes. At the bar unique craft tequila cocktails are prepared with natural ingredients and fresh juices. Take advantage of the salt, lime & sunshine offered up on the rooftop deck during the summer months. We are the best gourmet family friendly restaurant in Aspen- We started with Kids make-your-own pizzas, and added macaroni and cheese as well as make-your-own pastas as time has gone on.Our menu started out with 8 different items and has grown to over 30.
We’re one of the best sports bars in Aspen too, providing full sound, with a goal horn that will take you by surprise – and make you jump out of your seat!
