Welcome to Okeya Kyujiro Our Omakase Experience is a chef’s choice menu consisting of seasonal ingredients mainly sourced from Japan. It includes approximately 25 courses with mostly sushi.

RESERVATION AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Reservation must be cancelled 48 hours in advance. Failure to cancel by this time will result in a cancellation fee. Parties of 5+ full will be required to pay the full price in advance plus 20% service fee. A valid credit card is required to make the reservation. バンクーバーは「世界の寿司の都」と呼ばれていますが、正直なところ、ここで本格的な日本料理店を見つけるのは簡単ではありません。結局のところ、多くの非日系の人々が運営する「北米版」の寿司店が、地元の美食家に多くの妥協をしているため、多くの人々が本物の日本料理の味を忘れてしまっています。もちろん、もう一つ重要な理由は、北太平洋の海産物の種類と品質が、日本海や東海に比べて劣っていることです。そのため、バンクーバーでomakazeの日本料理を提供することは、日本本土と比べるのは言うまでもなく、東部のトロントと比べても、勝つのはかなり難しいです。結局、新鮮な原材料がなければ、どんなに良いシェフでも一流の味を出すのは難しいです。しかし、桶屋久次郎はかなり努力していると言えます。バンクーバーで最高級の桶屋久次郎は、2024年版のミシュランガイドで星1つを獲得しました。バンクーバーにミシュランで1つ星以上の店がないので、この店はバンクーバーの日本料理の最高峰と言えるでしょう。久次郎は小さながらも非常に精巧な店で、全12席しかありません。席の配置は舞台のようで、準備の前期は大劇の開幕前のようにカーテンが閉まり、照明が暗くなります。指定時間になり、全員が揃うと、竹の節の音とともにカーテンがゆっくり上がり、照明が明るくなり、シェフが登場して、ショーが始まります。戯曲化された儀式感が十分です。私たちが注文したのは15品のランチで、夕食とは量や内容が異なる可能性があります。3種類の前菜、蒸し卵、7品の寿司（それぞれが一品）、うに、そば、カニと魚卵のご飯、オトロ巻き、玉焼き、デザートが含まれています。全体的には、品種がやや単調で、特別な料理は多くありませんが、一番良かったのは炙りオトロ寿司とオトロ巻きで、これは原材料の優れた品質に大きく依存しています。宮崎A5そばの味付けは良かったですが、私の牛肉は意外にも少し乾燥していて、少し失望しました。寿司のソースはやや単調で塩辛いので、場合によっては素材本来の味を奪ってしまうことがあります。サービスは非常に良かったです。特に日本語でコミュニケーションを取ると、より親近感が増し、数年ぶりに訪れていない東京に戻ったような一瞬がありました。
