Smith’s Bar & Grill is nestled in Paddington, Central London, it is the first place you see when you walk under the bypass behind Paddington Station.

Known for its high ceilings and almost full-length windows, the natural light in Smith’s is just as nourishing and wholesome as the comfortable furnishings and exquisite selection of food and drink that we serve.

The venue is split into the areas:
• Main Restaurant
• Main Bar & Lounge Area
• Outdoor Terrace Canal-side


Smith’s is an ideal venue for weddings, on-location filming, major launch events, and multi-stage music and entertainment events.
The whole venue can comfortably accommodate up to 200 people for a sit-down dinner and up to 400 standing. Its proximity to Paddington Station (50 yards from the Hammersmith & City Underground entrance) makes it quick to get to for those coming from out of town.

    Great place in Paddington by the canal, staff professional , we visit once or twice a year but everybody greet you like family , special recognition to Alfredo and Maurizio, Beef fillet is tremendous , rib eye was succulent, great range of menu, good wine list,Ask Maurizio for any pairing with food. Always busy so make sure you book.

    We booked this evening and had the 6 courses tasting menu. It was incredible, the staff were so lovely and attentive and the scallops were sublime, drinks and sides were the best we’ve ever had. Will definitely come back, just a shame we came here on our last evening in London otherwise we’d be here every night! Thank you again!

    Smiths is our favourite place to go after work. The staff are always lovely to us, especially Maurizio. It also looks beautiful in there - the Christmas decorations are so pretty.

    When we arrived we were seated on straight away by Maurizio whose service was very attentive. The general atmosphere of this place is lovely, very authentic and relaxing. The cocktails were lovely, and the food was delicious and cooked perfectly. Beef tartar was delicate, the fillet steak was mouth watering and we will be back. Maurizio and Fabrizio were perfect hosts and I would defiantly recommend coming here if you’re looking for perfect food and an overall great experience in London! Will definetely be coming back here again the next time in London

    Had a fantastic meal with wonderful hospitality from the staff at this restaurant in Paddington. The food was impeccablle, especially the truffle pasta. Outstanding both in quality and in service. The added extra of it being a birthday occasion made it even better. This is now my favourite place in all of London, Thank you Smith's team.

    Went for lunch there today, 45 min between ordering and us having to chase them about starters. Staff said they'd check the about the starters, didn't let us know what happened. They likely forgot, another 10 min later starters arrived, no sorry or excuses. Mains arrived some 20min after they cleaned the starters plates. We had the burgers, they ask how you want to meat to be cooked. I asked well done and it was pink. They charged £16 for the service, did not apologise, did not ask how the food was or anything. Completely overpriced for the experience we had. I do not recommend at all.

    We'd had a recommendation for this restaurant and we were definitely not disappointed! From the moment we arrived the service was fantastic, the cocktails are great and food amazing. We all had the Oysters starter followed by Ribeye steak and the truffle tagliatelle. We also crammed in desserts (cheesecake and the chocolate fondant) which were equally delicious! Definitely the best meal we had in London so far and all the staff were great, the service from our waiter Maurizio was simply the best, so attentive and friendly! It's not cheap here but you get what you pay for.... so go on, treat yourself!!

    Visited this restaurant for my birthday, everything was delicious, but the fillet steak was definitely a crowd favourite, cooked to the perfection and just melting in your mouth.. Our server Fabrizio was very attentive and made sure to make our evening extra special when he heard it was my birthday. Would recommend this place if you're looking for quality food and good service! Thank you to the staff for a great evening 😊
