   A long time favorite, and consistently good dining experience. Crab cake with polenta is light & flavorful, along with the well prepared and presented branzino. Some very good wines, and a great dessert menu.

   Food and atmosphere were outstanding, especially the lamb chops and Mark is always a treat on the piano. Our server was slow however, and hard to find at times. Pedro is always aa cordial host.

   Exceptional Dining Experience at Sorrento We had the pleasure of dining at Sorrento this evening, and it was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, every detail was carefully curated to provide an outstanding experience. Even the valet parking stood out as a seamless and refined touch, setting the tone for the evening. The ambiance is elegant and inviting, striking the perfect balance between sophistication and warmth. The service was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive, with a team that clearly takes pride in creating a memorable experience for their guests. Now, onto the food—absolutely exquisite. Every dish was prepared with precision, featuring the rich, authentic flavors of Italy with a refined touch. The ingredients were fresh, the presentation flawless, and the flavors perfectly balanced. In a city like Houston, where Italian cuisine is abundant, Sorrento stands in a league of its own. From start to finish, our experience was exceptional, making this a highly recommended destination for anyone seeking an authentic yet elevated Italian dining experience.    I always enjoy dining here, but the portion size is getting smaller and smaller. My salad covered just half of the plate, and the side on the entree was just more than a bite. This restaurant must remain competitive.

   The food and ambience was amazing at Sorrento. after a $800 bill my only issues were- the older Man waiter tonight was nice, but he was not really interested in taking care and serving my family. we just wanted regular water. We did not know that water for the table would cost $30, we just wanted to dab water and we were forced to pay $30 for water seriously which is not informed until we got the bill. your restaurant should let us know in advance that they charge for still water! Really! first time in Texas I have paid for regular water and it just showed up on my bill without informing me. Lastly- my husband ordered just a glass of wine and the waiter left the full bottle on our table. We never said we will have the bottle. We were obliged that we will finish that bottle and then charged $95. We were kind of forced to take the whole bottle. basically there is a lot of of unspoken gestures in the restaurant by the waiters that you will pay what you didn’t want. we were forced to pay $130 manipulatively for things we did not even want!! And we were cheated to pay for water! The restaurant owes me $130.

   Nice old world atmosphere , food is ordinary as the cocktails. Best feature is the valet parking.

    Best meal that we have had in Houston! Waiter was incredible, piano player did a great job so it was a beautiful atmosphere. Definitely will be going back!
