The service team at the restaurant is consistently delightful and I'm glad to see the establishment is "employee-owned." I've been going to the Tabard since I moved to Washington in 1982 and I enjoy every visit.

My husband got the Fricasee and enjoyed it. I got the bone in Pork chop but it was dry and the potatoes on the side were like a dark blob…overcooked and unappealing. In fact I had to ask the server what it was. Ick! The creme brûlée was also not baked long enough and the consistency was a bit on the runny side. The hostess didn’t greet us and as we left and walked by did not say good night or thank you. She definitely needs training on being the first and last impression. Our server was very good and nice so not complaint there.

Easy to get a reservation on the weekends compared to other restaurants, and noise level is low for conversations. Food is ok, nothing that really stands out or is memorable.
