This was our first visit to Tavolino. My husband and I had Carpaccio for an appetizer and for our entrees we had lasagna and branzino. All very good . We felt the service was lacking. Our server checked on us once during our whole meal-and that was near the end. He never checked to see if we wanted another drink, and our water wasn’t refilled until the busser came to clear our plates and I asked for more water. We sat for awhile after our plates were cleared and our server left dessert menus with us. We decided on a desert. However, since it took the server so long to come back to our table to take our dessert order, I asked him to just bring the check. I told him why we weren’t ordering dessert and he didn’t even offer an apology. Because the food was good, I would come back but would hope for better service.

We felt like our waiter did not pay any attention to us. We had to ask multiple times for napkins, silverware and desserts menu. We ended up not ordering dessert after waiting so long for the menu then they took so long for them to take our payment. It wasn’t that they were too busy because the waiter for the table next to us checked in on his table multiple times. We will not be back.

My girlfriend and I had a terrible Valentine’s Day dinner at Tavolino. We had a reservation outside and we were greeted by one waiter with menus and another that took our order. No mention to daily specials or suggestions. The food was good but overpriced for the service. It started to rain and get windy but nobody offered to roll down the outside wind/rain protection. After a desert menu was brought to us, we were deserted!!! No waiter ever came by again. When I asked a waitress walking by she went and told the hostess. I waited and finally went to the hostess stand and asked if there was no bill? No response. A waiter finally came to the stand with a bill and NO APOLOGY for abandoning us. No manager ever got involved!!! A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THE RESTAURANT TO ANYONE!!! I paid the overpriced bill but gave no tip for service.

The food was fantastic. The lasagna and Branzino entrees were delicious. We tried the zucchini appetizer which was also a treat for the tastebuds.

Awesome dinner. I have never tasted a better lasagna. My lady raved about the eggplant. Make sure to get a dish with their tomato sauce. The best!

Two of us received tough veal and we only ate less than half of it. Dessert came out wrong. Other two meals were good. Too loud. Not attentive service.

These Italian dishes are delicious. The squid-ink infused pasta, and the grilled salmon are just a couple of my favorites.
