ビショップスゲートの壮大な高層ビルのヘロンタワーに位置する終日営業のバー＆レストランのthe driftは、The Folly、The Anthologist、the parlour、the refineryに携わるチームが運営するレストランです。2フロアを利用するレストランは奇抜なデザインとヨーロッパ最大の民間水族館の景色が特徴で、どこもあまり変わりのない市内のバーに対抗しています。the driftには変わった収集品、秘密のアルコーブ、カクテル作り用のテーブル、高級な食事を楽しめるコーナーがあり、アフタヌーンティー、カクテル、甲殻類が並ぶバー、おいしい液状のデザートなどを楽しめます。分けあえる料理、フラットブレッド、前菜の盛り合わせなどのほか、グルメサンドイッチ、おいしいものをたくさん挟んだハンバーガー、豊富なメインディッシュ、季節のサラダなどのモダンなヨーロッパのメニューを提供しています。ドリンクにも力を入れており、定番ドリンク、カロリーを計算した「skinnies」、「野菜とハーブ畑」のカクテルなど、様々な手の込んだカクテルや創作カクテルなどを用意しています。40種類以上の豊富なワインリストを提供しています。

    It was a good experience overall, except on a Saturday they have this disco going on. The restaurant was empty except for one table and the music was so loud you could barely talk to the person opposite without shouting. Ruined the lunch and we had to move. But the food was fine. service was fine as we were virtually only ones there

    First time here and our experience was phenomenal! We had a group of about eight people for a work related happy hour. The service was impeccable, and the food and drinks were delicious.

    Great setting, particularly on the mezzanine floor by the massive windows! Food was excellent, and service was good. All in all, outstanding value. The only downside is music that is WAY too loud, so much so that it’s difficult to hold a conversation. It’s more like eating in a nightclub than a restaurant.

    Had a great quick business lunch here. My friend had the bao buns followed by trout and I had the prawn sticks followed by duck salad. Service was great and the food excellent!

    Arrived for our booking to be told we do not have a reservation despite me showing them the confirmation. We then got told oh well we are not serving food anyways….

    My friend ordered the roasted squash and I had the trout . We were very happy with our choices and would order the same on our next visit. The staff were able to accommodate my dietary requirements. The waitress was great.
