パブ、ダイニングルーム＆バーのThe Lighterman（ザ・ライターマン）は、毎日終日営業しており、モーニングコーヒー、朝食、ランチ、ディナー、イブニングカクテルなどを提供しています。エグゼクティブ・シェフのディエゴ・カルドソ氏が作った終日メニューには、グリルした肉やクラシックなイギリス料理が並びます。豊富なドリンクメニューには、生ビール、瓶ビール、クラフトエール、季節のカクテルを取り揃えているほか、手頃な料金の厳選したワインもあります。屋外席も多く用意しています。運河沿いのバーには、水辺を望む屋外テラスがあります。グラウンドフロアにはグレイナリー広場に面する席、最上階には広場や運河のパノラマを一望する専用のラップアラウンドテラスがあります。

    日曜日のお昼にお伺いしました。すこし騒がしかったですが、料理は美味しかったです。予約したのにテーブルが狭くて少し残念でした。

    I’ve been to The Lighterman a few times before for drinks and love the location, so decided to book for a dinner but unfortunately felt disappointed and rather ripped off by the whole experience. The food was standard pub fayre and was overpriced and a bit dry and uninviting. We ordered a bottle of wine but felt rushed to drink up with our wine glasses being refilled all the time as we had already been told we needed to vacate the table for a certain time. Service was perfunctory and cold and I really didn’t enjoy it at all. There are far better places to eat in the local area.

    Too many huge tables so took a long time to be served. Managed to drop one plate on the floor when it finally arrived, then missed another off … same for all 4 courses … so left … so disappointed, as never experienced that before at the Lighterman and have been a number of times …

    We got sick! Had the tuna and was very sick that evening. Service was ok, trying to rush us lots but service was slow.

    Great venue alongside the canal however the quality of food has been deteriorating over time. It's not bad in any way, just not as good as it once was. Nonetheless, a good place to catch up with friends.

    The Lighterman is a decent 'gastropub' style bar - I have used it several times. The food is quirky; the flatbread was great - it's more or less a small pizza TBH. Service is mostly good but a little patchy, but it was quite busy and not really fair to be too crtitical. Great location.
