The Reef（旧Comptons）はUsinaファミリーにより建てられたレストランで、Usina Bridgeから北に4.8kmの何世代にもわたり家族が所有する静かなノースビーチのオーシャンフロントに位置します。1989年に創業したComptonsは10年にわたり大きな成功を収めましたが、1999年にCompton氏の病気やハリケーン被害のため休業となりました。フロリダ北東部には数軒の本格的なオーシャンフロントのレストランがあり、その1軒であるThe Reefは2002年にUsinaファミリーの直営下でリニューアルオープンしました。店内からは見事な景色を望めます。店内のどの席からも素晴らしい景色を望め、近年新設したデッキでは海の景色だけではなく波の音や鳥のさえずりを耳にできます。シェフのBob Henleが手掛けるメニューには、可能な限り地元の新鮮な食材を使用した魚や魚介類のメニューを中心に、牛肉、鶏肉のパスタ、特製料理を用意しています。

    Definitely do not come here if you’re trying to impress your girlfriend/wife boyfriend/husband. I took my new girlfriend here for dinner and I was very disappointed. The pictures an reviews were really good online and it being on right on the beach I figured it would be great for a date night so I decided to try it for our Valentines dinner but I did not have the best experience at all. The restaurant was no where near nice inside or outside. Super out of date. Our sever was great but the food wasn’t the best. Our appetizer came out cold , we still ate it because we were starving. For my main dish i got the shrimp and lobster risotto and the lobster was the worst lobster I ever had in my life, super mushy, but at least my gf liked hers so that’s all that mattered to me.

    We had a great Valentine’s Day dinner here. Very quiet. Soft lighting. Romantic and the food was delicious.

    We ordered a house salad, coconut shrimp, shrimp and lobster risotto and prime rib with green beans and mashed potatoes. The coconut shrimp was OK. The six shrimp were large and fresh, but the coconut batter was very thick and detracted from the taste rather than adding to it. The house salad was crisp and fresh. Both the shrimp and lobster risotto and prime rib were delicious. The mashed potatoes and green beans were just OK. Service was very good, and the view of the ocean was perfect for Valentine's day.

    The Reef is a great place for lunch, dinner or to hang at the bar for a drink. The setting is beautiful with magnificent views of the ocean. Our server was attentive and very knowledgeable about the food and beverage offerings. Had the blackened Mahi tacos which were delish. Love this place.

    My wife had scallops and there were maybe three in the entire dish. The sauce was dry similar to having sat under a heat warmer for a while. Our guest had prime rib and it was over done. I had a steak salad but was never asked how I wanted my steak. For those prices I think the quality should be better.
