It is so difficult nowadays to find a restaurant with carpet on the floor to absorb the noise but this one has it and it made a difference. The food was succulent but on the pricey side. The service was great. Discovered just how close it was to the NAC where we were attending a show afterwards. Enjoyed my experience and the fact that the NAC was just a short walk away.

We ordered a Caesar to start before choosing large shrimp appetizer and a salad. My Caesar salad was excellent, large pieces of bacon, in-house croutons, and perfect amount of dressing. We should have shared my tasty 18 ounce rib steak. It was way too large for me, so glad my friend was able to help. Bernaise sauce was perfect. Lots of warm fries. But, we didn’t need the artisanal bread that arrived with main course. My friend’s large sirloin was cooked perfectly. We finished off our bottle of wine with a vanilla bean brûlée which was a wee bit of heaven. Bill came to $306. before tip. Bob, our waiter, was very good, and we had the pleasure of chatting with a lovely personable lady, Audrey, who cleared our table.

Our server, Sorel, was excellent and the food and wine was prefect. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening out with friends visiting from out of town.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Shore Club for the first time, and I must say, it was an experience to remember! I went with my best friend and her husband. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly and seated promptly. Our server, Jesse, was incredible. His attentiveness and friendly demeanor made our evening feel special, and he went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. It truly felt like he was invested in making our experience memorable. As the evening progressed, the time seemed to fly by, which is always a good sign when you're enjoying a meal. Speaking of the meal, the food was absolutely delicious—perfect in every way. We ordered salmon tartare, jumbo shrimp cocktail , beet and house burrata salad to start and salmon and bone on rib steak for our main course with mashed potatoes and asparagus. A special mention goes to their accommodating nature. My friend has celiac disease and gluten sensitivity, and the staff was quick to respond to her needs, ensuring her meal was safe and enjoyable. Overall, from start to finish, our visit to Shore Club was amazing. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their menu! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience.

Our server was amazing from start to finish. We loved the steak but the fries were a little cold and the brussels were just ok.

The experience as a whole was average, there was "wow" factor at all. The one thing I was a little disappointed with was the valet parking. January 30th in Ottawa was cold and snowy, The Shore Club is in the Weston Hotel, so I expected the car to be parked inside. When I handed the guy my ticket (with a $5.00 tip) I was told the cost for valet parking was $31.00. He handed me my keys and pointed to my car sitting outside at the front door. I am pretty sure I could have parked inside at the Rideau Centre, attached to the Weston for less than $36.00.

We have eaten here several times, but I'm not sure I'd go again...it is SO loud, making it rather unpleasant to try to converse with others at our table. Last night I also noticed that none of the 'white coat waiters' were women...why is that? There were food servers (male and female) in pants, shirts and ties...but none with a while jacket (obviously some sort of status symbol). And there were two women floating around in tiny black skirts, so tight we could see everything...why? One was skinny, the other heavy. Why do you feel it necessary do dress women in such costumes? There were no male staff working in muscle shirts and tiny shorts. DEI is under threat in the US. We don't need this kind of patriarchal behaviour in our restaurants here in Canada. We must do better than this!
