We had a wonderful meal at The Vintner. The service was friendly and efficient, the menu was varied and the dishes were chose were all excellent. It was reasonably expensive but we felt good value even so. We would definitely recommend.

Food was OK. The Steak was particularly good but I wasn’t impressed with my burger. Should I return to the Vintner I won’t be ordering this again. From the deserts menu we liked the rasberry sorbet. One thing that I didn’t like (or understand): we were seated next to the kitchen door even though there were plenty of empty tables available. Location of table - very noisy, in the back of the restaurant, smells of different foods coming from the kitchen, the cook had some music on in there which is understandable but altered our dining experience. One more good thing: the table service was nice. Overall:food experience OK, we will stay away from the burger and should we ever return we’ll request a better table location.

Although we have eaten there a lot in the past we experienced poor service and a wait of an hour to get our main course when we visited on Fri 15th March. The staff didn't appeared to be too concerned that we had to wait so long.

Lovely warm welcome, good table, attentive and responsive service. Food delicious warm salad, prawn cocktail, 2 lamb shanks, 2 rhubarb and apple crumble and custard. Such a lovely evening it was perfect. X

Staff are lovely and friendly, part of the restaurant is dog friendly, Chester was well looked after, just like we were. Food was excellent and great value as well. All in all a great lunchtime experience.

Very pleasant surroundings and charming staff. Good food selection ( not too much for older palates) Mind you it has always been a family favourite for many years and keeps up to standard

Excellent service and delicious food. We had fish cakes which were lovely and very filling! Staff were friendly and efficient. I would recommend this place and will definitely return. Thank you everyone at Vintners!
