The Winery Restaurant has been an icon among western Colorado restaurants for over 35 years. The restaurant makes its home in a 95 year old building that used to house a horse drawn fire station. A gas lamp lit, grapevine canopied alley frames this romantic location perfectly. The beautifully remodeled building contains flowered stain glass windows, barn wood and bricks.

Steve Thoms acquired the restaurant in late June of 2004 after taking a couple of years off from his previous restaurant. His mission at he Winery is simple: Show the restaurant and its patrons the attention that they deserve. Use only top quality ingredients, and establish The Winery as the premiere restaurant in the Grand Junction area.

The Winery provides a variety of steaks, chicken, pork and fresh seafood specials nightly in an atmosphere that can not be rivaled anywhere!

    Great experience. We had the specials of wagu beef and a bass and crab rice. Terrific meals and great service from Jonathan. Expensive, but if you want a special occasion it is worth it.

    We were celebrating our 55th anniversary so we choose the Winery. I can't say enough good things about The Winery as usual the food, service and the overall ambience of the restaurant. We drove 30 miles to spend our special occasion at The Winery.

    This is our "go to" favorite for a special night out. Food and service are always outstanding. Yes it is expensive but in this case you get what you pay for and we have NEVER been disappointed. The only downside is my wife makes me wear a tie for dinner! It is a casual dress place but we enjoy dressing for our special nights at the Winery. Steve is an excellent host and ensures our night exceeds expectations.

    Excellent as always. Just one point, one of the ribeye steaks that was ordered was extremely gristley, not a lot of meat. It we would definitely come back

    This is fine dining at its best, steaks are wonderful, the seafood is very good with a large portion. Not cheap but very good.

    From the minute we began preparation the staff was wonderful. On the phone, when we arrived, during the meal and afterwards. The food was exceptional and the waiter was especially attentive to our needs. Thank you for making it an enjoyable evening.
