The menu had a large variety of items to select from and everyone was happy with their selection. Have been there several times over the years and never disappointed.

We were very disappointed overall. The waitress announced the specials describing the mozzarella and carozza not mentioning the prosciutto which as a vegetarian I could not eat it when it was served. They could not remake it without the prosciutto explaining it was premade. This was not taken off the bill. She brought a small plate of mozzarella and tomato as a substitute. The eggplant parmigiana was undercooked and tough which we had to return back to the kitchen. The umberto calamari was also disappointing which did not have the cherry peppers as described in the menu. The workers also were unwrapping some type of packages directly behind my seat which was loud and annoying. I have never before been so disappointed in a restaurant. We had recently eaten at Umbertos in Manhasset which was incredible. We will be going back there next time.

Calamari was not crispy. Pizza crust was thick and spongy. Entree and salad were diner quality.

We’ve been going here for years. And, even went downstairs and watched the owner make the mozzarella cheese. Service has always been perfect. This time , there were long waits for service and we had to ask for some items several times. We usually tip 40 percent since we know how tough of a job the servers have. Not this time. But it is Umbertos and always wonderful. Just being as honest as I can be since it seems only fair to everyone.

Newly renovated dining room with beautiful bar. Service and food excellent as usual. Only issue we had was that we have a 5yr old grandchild who we ordered a child’s portion of spaghetti for and requested a slice of pizza too. They refused to give us a slice from the other side for our grandchild. We understand they don’t want adults eating a slice from the pizza side in the dining room, but to refuse it for a 5 year old who we already ordered spaghetti for is ridiculous!
