Excellent dining experience at Waypoint. Food and service were superb. The chef seems to always prepare new and delicious options each time we have dined here. Definitely a hidden gem of Williamsburg.

We ventured into this eatery without prior knowledge or recommendations. We had just read a few positive comments, so we decided. Without a doubt, our risk paid off. The experience was superb. We hope to return on our next visit to Williamsburg.

I have ordered the oyster Caesar salad in the past and it was very good. This time the oysters were heavily breaded and the salad wasn’t very fresh .

The restaurant was nice. We were seated promptly for our reservation. The server was good but did bash the kitchen for being slow, even though we never said anything about the speed of the food coming out. The food was unremarkable. The She Crab Soup was ok. We ordered the Cured and Smoked Salmon, and it was bland and missing the lemon dill cream cheese. When we brought it to our server's attention, they said it never came with cream cheese. The Macadamia Crusted Salmon was good, but more of a dusting than a crust. The rice pilaf looked and tasted just like the Safron rice on my wife's dish and tasted just the same. Overall, the experience was unremarkable. It's a nice place, but it wasn't worth the price point. I think we both walked away saying it was food, and the highlight was the bread when it arrived after being there for almost an hour.
